Destination: Plouneour. Pretty stoked to be teaching these little French kids English, to be completely honest. Pretty damn stoked.
Plouneour is in Brittany, right under the crosshairs on the map here.

Hurray for warm weather! These kayakers in Otter Creek went over a (little) waterfall, much to the enjoyment of the crowd watching from the bridge.

Back from Paris! Two and a half weeks, tons of fun, and quite a few pictures, too. Some of my favorites...

(1) Just a sign on the side of the road where I was living (Avenue Charles de Gaulle) that says, basically, "Look out for sketchy bands." (2) The outside of the Musee Cluny, the National Museum of the Middle Ages. (3) The original heads from some statues in the Notre-Dame-de-Paris, dug up in some guy's backyard in the 1970's, where they were put after they were chopped off during the French Revolution. (4) Some little French kids learning about art at the Musee D'Orsay. (5) (6) Sophie's chat, Sousou. I don't even like cats that much, but this one was so cute. She slept on the radiator in my room!

I think I like autumn because even if you're the most amateur of amateur photographers, the colors in your photos of fall are still pretty.

At the O'Briens' house.

In my front yard. (Tweaked a bit, I'll admit.)

Man, second grade was so fun. Especially the part with the school play. "Wackadoo Zoo" is pretty much the coolest play ever. Our music teacher Mrs. Keene told us she wrote it, but my research has proved her wrong; other schools all over the country have put it on as well! Anyway, Monkey #1 was my breakout role. Also in the photo: Britta (Pig #3), Brandon (Monkey #2), Melissa (Monkey #3), and Carrie (Cow #1).

| Haydn Is My Homeboy |

Ordered this shirt! Woohoo!

"As far as we can tell from the historical record, the eighteenth century was sort of a fallow period as far as concert-related merchandising was concerned. Which is a pity -- it would be cool now to go to a museum and see 'Bononcini' and 'Handel' embroidered on, like, hose and waistcoats, or maybe 'Haydn Is My Homeboy' printed on a tricorne hat.
"But just because that opportunity wasn't exploited by our musical forebears, it doesn't mean we can't retroactively correct their oversights. Thus, Glarkware gives Mozart the kind of props he'd get if he had been rocking us in 1979 instead of 1779. (Mozart lighter not included.)"

I'm back from Mississippi, and this is what I saw. Those pieces of railing are supposed to be connected. During the hurricane a middle section of the bridge shifted to the right.
